Hmm that's interesting - from that information I wonder how they managed to get WTC in the first place because I'm pretty sure they must be earning more than that considering their jobs.

They also manage to spend a lot on home improvements, the latest gadgets and foreign holidays.....mind you I am forgetting that whatever they earn a month they also get an extra amount of nearly £600 which amounts to more than £6000 extra a year I suppose!

It won't be backdated - only from the time a new assessment was requested.

Will it make a difference? That depends on what the individual income of the PWC is. PWC will get allowance for her, allowance for the child, half allowance for the new child, housing costs offset against her net income. If there is anything left it is halved and included in the assessment, which will reduce the NRP contribution a bit. if nothing left, it won't make any difference whatsoever.

When you consider all that, it doesn't seem like it would make a difference! But would her husband be considered to be making a contribution towards housing costs?

It's so hard to know what to do! We don't want to jump out of the frying pan into the fire!!

However it would be really nice if for once things worked out in our favour - even if we only got a couple of pounds reduction on what we currently pay!!:p A dream come true in fact!!
