There l was raking the moss from the lawn and a thought crossed my mind...oh l will line out that empty hanging basket l have in the shed. Must say it looks/looked quite good....however my work was clearly appricated by the local sparrows and magpies who think the hanging basket is their new local flyby nest insulation outlet. Can't see it lasting the summer. :rotfl:

I raked a huge pile of moss out of own lawn a few weeks ago and left it in a pile at the edge of my vegetable patch. Several magpies sat in a nearby tree watching a starling picking up bits of it for nesting material and they rapidly cottoned on, There's none left now, so I'm glad it has been put to good use.0

Oooooh think I might have to do likewise! Is now the time for raking it out? What type of rake? A nice hard one? Does the lawn need to be wet first? More moss than grass in ours!0
