Service Charges

Can any help with service charges for leaseholders.
At the moment we are disputing the service charges the landlord is applying to our lease.
We bought a flat in 2008 and were told that the service charges were £500 pa. We moved in July 2008 the first bill was for £800 for 6 six months. The landlord did not give us a summary of charges so we chellenged them. He had employed a management company to look after the property. They never replied, but kept sending us invoices to pay, but with no summaries to let us know what the charges were. We know that by law they were required to give us a break down of the charges so we kept writing for details of the charges, then we asked for the audited accounts to see where the money was going. Needless to say they never replied with the documents. So they issued summons for the county court we said wrong place but it was the leaseholders tribunal to deal. Guess what the County Court agreed with us.
Has anyone taken their landlord to the LVT and won over the service charges.
Many thanks
