    Consensus on the net is that it can cause irritation and possibly stop the products working effectively. As my serum contains AHAs and Vitamin C already, avoiding retinol at the same time seems sensible.

    I use a hyaluronic acid and hydroxy acid gel at night so I avoid retinol then as well.
