Noooo! That'll get you debt collectors ar your door (or at the very least phoning you up) it could also incur additional charges as well due to debt collectors needing to be called or admin needing to be used.
If you speak to your gym manager, ask them how you cancel then follow the instructions to the T. To make sure they don't pretend they didn't get your call/letter/etc in terms of cancelling, keep a written copy for yourself and if you have anything with dates on such as phone bills when you'd contacted them or letters with proof of postage if you need to send them off as well as your own copy of the letter.
It should all go fine- I've never had any issues cancelling my gym contracts but just incase you do have a problem, with proof you did everything the way you were asked you shouldn't have problems claiming back anything if they take it without reason.0 -
Myself and my two daughters joined exercise4less gym in November. We all did it over the phone as it was a special offer. If we did it before the weekend. All details were taken and we were told membership would commence straightaway. My youngest daughter has now had her hours halved at work and cant really afford to go. When she phoned up to cancel she was told that it was a years contract and she was paying a finance company for this. When we joined we were not told this or that it was a years contract. We have signed nothing or seen any paperwork. Is this right. Have we signed up for something that we didn't actually sign for.
