This is sort of money saving, hopefully your advice will save me from having to get new furniture!
I want to hang a picture on my wall - it's about 30in wise and contains 3 x 10x8" photos. I was intending to hang it over the sofa but the sofa is off centre and to centre it makes the room looked too cluttered on one side and bare on the other. The sofa being off centre balances the room out. It's not badly off, there's about 12" difference on either side if the sofa.
So would u put photo above sofa and off centre in room, in centre off room, which will be off centre above sofa or will it look awful either way?

I have two wall lights on either side of my living room that are evenly spaced to the wall and centred. I have two sofas at right angles that are not centred.
My pictures have to be centred between the wall lights (that I would not have had if it had been my choice but I'm stuck with them), and I think it looks OK.
Here's a picture of our living room. It's not a great shot to illustrate what I mean, but it's all I have at work on my PC.

Cut out some paper (maybe even newspaper) to the same dimensions of the picture, then blu-tac it into position. That way, you can see whether it would look okay there and can experiment by moving it around if you wish.0
