Bad feelings about a sale...

I just sold a nice watch on ebay - normally they go for about £60-80 new, i've worn it twice so resold it (final price £35). I listed it as used, worn a couple times, excellent condition, with manual and tin. Problem is the winning bidder has emailed asking me to please ship asap as it's for a gift! I'd have no problem with this myself but we all know how weird ebayers can be about reading descriptions!! I've emailed them to check, but i'm so worried they'll kick up a fuss after it arrives for it not being gift giving cond!!

You've already said its in excellent condition so why the paranoia?0 -
Does it show signs of wear? If so did you state this in the listing? My daughters are my world0

I wouldn't worry - you've described at is it so there should be no problem.0

If its in excellent condition then why's it not in gift giving condition?
From your description I cannot see why I would not think I could give it as a gift. I would give a gift to someone if the gift was in excellent condition.0 -
What a strange post, sounds like the watch is not in as good condition as described, as if it was the OP would not be fretting- I would email the buyer back and be honest about the condition of the watch and send a few photos too, otherwise you may have a dispute and bad feedback.......:silenced:They Were Up In Arms wrote: »I think tabskitten is a crying, walking, sleeping, talking, living troll :cool:0

I assume they have already paid - sounds to me like someone pressuring to send before payment has cleared! What is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare0

Or maybe they aren't used to giving second hand items as gifts. Unless it was an antique, collectors item I wouldn't dream of giving a second hand item as a present!!!Ask me no questions, and I'll tell you no lies0 -
Don't worry about it, I feel exactly the same as you. I sold my kids' used things and someone asked me to send the moses basket (which for the record WAS also in excellent condition) as quickly as possible as it was a gift. I felt really paranoid that someone was giving a used moses basket as a gift as I personally would never have done that. I tend to buy gifts new.
Customer was happy in the end, so it was worrying for nothing. They may be after that particular watch so dont worry about it.0
