what exactly are you looking for? something with bluetooth so you can take calls via the stereo,or just something with an aux plug on the front. or a stereo that has an ipod lead that will charge your ipod or phone while you listen to the music from it.
i haven't looked at them for a while (because i'll end up spending money) but when i was weighing up my options i went for a jvc with aux plug on the front, built a holder for my ipod so it fits into the dashboard and connected it via a 3.5mm jack lead. works great.
i have a bluetooth system in my transit, its the oem ford system, it works great with my companies nokia phone, but with my iphone its rubbish for some reason....work permit granted!0 -
I'm basically looking for something with a USB input but that will charge the iphone as well as play the music. If I can control the iphone (next, prev, play, stop, etc) from the stereo controls as well that'd be a bonus.0

it doesn't mention this in the handbook that its only compatible with nokia bluetooth devices,it says it will work with most bluetooth devices. i thought bluetooth was bluetooth, i didn't realise there was manufacturer variants.
it does still work but drops the call after about 5 minutes....work permit granted!0 -

Alpine do a brilliant ipod/iphone head unit. The controls mimic that of the ipod and some also displays album art. I have the cable fitted into the glove box of my car and use my ipod classic in there.
The basic one, with no album art display is £130

Mine is more like this one, but at £250 it aint cheap
