Frizzy hair nightmare!

Hi, just wondering what products really work to control dry frizzy hair. My hair is dyed, shoulder length and wavy and it is very dry. I used to use Garnier Fructis hair serum which was the best solution i found, but nowhere seems to stock it any more, don't know if they have stopped making it:( Now i am stuck, and am gradually working my way through everything available in Boots but have found nothing that works as well for me and it's costing me a bomb, since i try things a couple of times and they end up in the bin:mad: I have been through the Aussie range and found it hopeless. Also tried all the Frizzease serums, but no good. Have tried a few of the leave in conditioners but they actually make my hair feel drier!
Grateful for any suggestions/recommendations.

I swear by Tigi Curls Rock. Quite pricey, but there are some websites you can use via quidco like cheapsmells.com which makes it more affordable.0

Have you tried Aussie most moist shampoo? In giving

I use Boots Curl cream. Its about £1.50 for a big pot, and it gives me nice curls, instead of cave woman hair. :eek:0

Bed Head control freak serum - it is expensive but ebay usually works out cheapest. A little goes a long way. I have long, very thick wavy hair and I use before drying straight with hairdryer and then straightening. I then use a light spray of maxxed out hairspray to keep it from being frizzy on the day I wash it.
I am not one for expensive beauty products but these def have been a Godsend for my head!0 -
I chop and change between the Bed head Control Freak one and the extra strength Frizzease one (in purple bottle).
I also use the Aussie Miracle Moist Shampoo and 3 Minute Miracle Conditioner.

I have very coarse, dry hair that is prone to frizz and like yourself struggle to find anything to tame it. Instead of serum I use mashooq treatment oil, sparingly, after I have washed it.

I also use aphogee products http://www.aphogee.com/product.aspx and use the 2 minute restructurer as my main conditioner. Over the years I have tried nearly every brand from aussie, aveda, sebastian, tigi etc etc and am currently happy with aphogee and a keratin treatment when I can afford it.If you always do what you have always done, you will always get what you always got!0 -
I personally recommend (a small amount) Shea butter as a leave-in. You can also try a pre-shampoo treatment like coconut oil, EVO, jojoba oil (shampoo can make your hair frizzier). I also use *Cholesterol* as a deep treatment once a week (from Sallys £1.99 for a good size tub) - this has made a huge difference to my frizzies. Aloe vera makes a lovely gel to tame the frizz (Holland and Barratt £4.99)
Also do you air dry your hair? Any heat styling for me creates huge frizz0 -
I have cur;y/wavy / frizzy hair
Tigi curls range is v good but I find Beyond the Zone Noodlehead range even better (although I lurve the smell of the TIGI range). The Noodlehead stuff doesn't build up like the Tigi - the shampoo & conditioner are fab as is the Sruncher which is a curl boost spray and hold (for wet & dry hair). It is quite cheap from Sally discount store or ebay when it's on there.
Each week or two I warm some good quality olive oil and leave it on my hair for an hour then wash out with shampoo & small doloop of conditioner - really nice shine & manageability without weighing hair down.0 -
Thanks for all your suggestions, will see which ones i can find online. Don't mind paying extra for something that actually works. I find the extra strength frizzease only works for a short time then i have to keep reapplying it which makes my hair look dark and greasy and none of the Aussie range work for me at all unfortunately. I do use a hairdryer but don't brush while i dry it as that makes it worse. Air drying doesn't work for me, end up with more frizz0

When I had my hair stripped it left it so weak and dry I used ketrase shampoo and conditioner. But its so expensive, £20 something for each pot.0
