I think I've got the solution to my low maintenance pet requirement.

I've had a quick google but loads of it looks like malware central, so wondering if anyone knows of a safe pet cat application.

Probably the safest is cat wallpaper. Do you really want one that dashes round the screen? Didn't you get tired of Neko in the days of OS/2?

See if you can lay your hands on a copy of the original Catz by PF Magic, should be able to find it on eBay. Not sure how well it works on more recent versions of Windows though.

I think there have been dozens of versions of Catz as well, but I always thought the original was best, the later versions got silly.
