BT late payment fine

I have just noticed (too late) that bt are now charging £5 if like me you always wait for the reminder bill to come in before paying.

If you pay by DD you will not be hit with a late payment fine and you will save £1 per month,you are going to have to pay the bill so you might as well save some money,and if you are using talktalk and 18866 your B.T. bill should only be £10.50 per month,plus maybe any 0845/0870 numbers

The £5 charge applies 5 days after the DATE of the red reminder - so you need to act fast when it arrives, because it's already about 3 days old when it lands on the doorstep. If you don't want to pay by DD, consider setting up a standing order and use online or phone banking to change the amount each quarter (or month).0
