Hi, I'm Looking To Buy A New Car (preferably 6 - 7 Seater) That's A Comfortable Drive But Also Economical To Run - I Know, I Don't Want Much Do I!!! Any Comments Would Be Gratefully Received. Cheers.

How much do you want to spend?

When we were looking we looked at the Galaxy-Alamhbra-Sharan cars. These are all the same car just badged differently.

For a larger car quite easy to drive and park and good driving position. Our's is a Diesal and so naturally good economy. it's nice and roomy and a comfortable motorway drive. the kids love the extra room and it's great for just chucking your gear in the back and going away.

If you're looking for a new site look at sites such as https://www.broadspeed.com & https://www.drivethedeal.co.uk which put you in touch with a dealer at typically fleet prices, you can then buy it from the dealer or use it as a bargaining tool at your local dealer.

Also the Galaxy's(old shape) are at a discount at the mo.

I agree with jetetster - the range is not the most modern, however they are still good cars and cheeper tha some of the newer models that are out there. We have a sharan TDi 130 and regularly get 42 MPG sometimes as much as 50 on a run. Given the cost of fuel at the moment this makes it quite a cheep car to run. - One other reason that we bought the sharan ove rthe galaxy / alhambra was that the VW can be supplied on long life servicing - this may not be a benefit to all, but as we do about 20K per year it means only one service a year and not 2 so a bit cheeper and less time in the dealers. New model Galaxy is nice - has seats which fold into the floor to which is the one thing I would like on my sharan.
