M&S or Natwest vs egg limits

I've found that RBS cards (Natwest, Mint...) tend to be tight with credit limits, especially for new accounts. You may be able to get a reasonable increase with an appeal letter (+ evidence of income etc) after the account is opened.0

I got a £2500 limit from RBS even though I also switched to their current account. I did appeal, and they didn't budge! My usual limit would be £7-9k...0
