I want to make a formal complaint about a certain board guide on OS who moves or closes any threads she doesn't agree with & I'm not the only one who is fed up with her little Hitler abuse of power

She closed this thread

https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/2419575

Her reason for doing so was

Someone shouted bully. The team take such allegations seriously, so I decided the best thing was to close the thread and ask the team to take a look.

I asked there, and respectfully ask again, if you have an issue with this, please raise it in the correct place, and that's with abuse - address in my sig.

I did say someone was using bullying behaviour, they called me (anyone) who didn't have the time to base their shopping around whopsies & use oats/lentils to stretch out mince as snobbish:(

I then started a thread to say lets embrace all styles of shopping budgets & cooking equally & she locked that too, AFTER I suggested we don't visit the details of the other thread

https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/2426931

There is NOT only one way whatever a certain few believe, we are all entitled to a say.

the abuse email address is the correct one

the correct procedure for Board Guides is to Lock threads and refer to the abuse team for moderation , they may then remove the whole thread/certain posts or just unlock it. As its the weekend this may not happen until Monday at the earliest.

What a Board Guide isn't/can't do
    • Board Guides are not moderators. They don't deal with abuse; that's the Forum Team's job.
    • Board Guides are not experts. On some boards a specialist knowledge is useful. Usually, just being interested in the subject is enough, although it's not a pre-requisite.
    • Board Guides are not techies, although being happy to play with technology helps.
    • Board Guides cannot see abuse reports (only the Forum Team and MSE Team members can see those).
IF YOU'RE UNHAPPY WITH SOMETHING A BOARD GUIDE'S DONE
Please remember the Board Guides are just ordinary forum users who've volunteered to help out the site and are doing what the MSE Team has asked them to do. They do an excellent job of keeping the forum wheels turning, but are not paid. They are not responsible for the site and have no say in policy decisions.
If you've a question about a Board Guide's choices, first read the site's Terms and Conditions and these Forum Rule FAQs. If you're still unsure why they did something or you feel the Forum Team should be aware, please report to abuse@moneysavingexpert.com. Don't question a Board Guide on the forum or it will be removed.

so far i saw you post another thread about a closed thread and this post here(maybe theres more)
the abuse email is there for both of these matters and as such your posts are superfluous
so quit crying an follow the forum protocols

But in reality the chance of a thread being reopened after it has been locked by a BG is about zero. ;)

(Am not commenting on the thread noted by MrsE, just a general observation on the topic.)
    Gone ... or have I?

It does happen, even if you don't personally witness it. ;)

Anyway, how could you possibly know for sure unless you monitor every thread on every board on the entire forum 24 hours a day?

You need to get a hobby MrsE. You called someone a kn0b on another thread and actually likened someone to Hitler but you go crying about bullies if someone calls you a snob and demanding an apology? Holy double standards Batman.

    Thank you for your advice:)

The person I called a kn0b is my own personal stalker & nothing to do with this debate really.

I'm not crying about bullying at all, frankly there is no need to be so sarcastic. I said the outcry if you dare to go against the tide on OS was quite......well wow.
I've had lots of PMs from people who also feel this way & feel put off posting on there.

I apologised to the person first for my part in the row, thats certainly a long way from demanding a apology.

    This thread is closed.

The rules state you should NOT discuss individual members or their behaviour on the boards - if you have a problem email abuse@moneysavingexpert.com

Both the ability to complain and the the protection applies just as much to board guides as to any other posters - board guides are volunteers here.

Please see http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/site/forum-faqs for the rull rules.

Please do not discuss this on the boards again.
