Hi there,
Thinking of buying a acer laptop at Tesco for £599. As I have less than perfect eyesight I would like to know if these laptops have good bright screens, or have options to brighten then up a bit, by brightness, contrast etc.
Any advice really apreciated,
many thanks
joe

i have one and find the screen bright enough, the screen brightness can be adjusted. auto settings are bright when plugged in but when you switch to battery power it dims to conserve the battery. this can be changed in the power management settings, though battery life will shorten.Ever stop to think and forget to start again?0

I'd worry about the spec more than the screen

You can get software which can change the colour settings etc from your desktop.. (powerquest i think its called).. so can be used in extreme circumstances[FONT=Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif]"The internet is a great way to get on the net."

I just used Martin's tip here to enhance the clarity on my Tesco laptop, it worked a treat
