Morning everyone.
DS and H goen swimming. I am out of action due to "womens things" as my H calls itRather than him struggle with both kids DD is roaming round at home with me.
Off to Prescott Hill Climb today. DS is quite excited at the prospect of seeing some racing cars and Grandad at work :rotfl: Not sure how DD will get on but my mum is busy so she'll have to have her first introduction to the world of motor cars today. Mind you if you saw her doing doughnuts in her little tikes car perhaps she's more than chip off the old grandad block after all (my dad used to rally as a hobby when I was a kid).
Anyway tea tonight will be a chicken stirfry using cooked chicken from the freezer.
Booooooooooooooo have to put the airier up for the first time in AGES to dry the washing. Daren't leave it on the line as although it's dry now (only had a very light shower in the night) I can't guarantee it won't rain later.
Penpen - That cake loves YUM! thanks for the receipe
Diva - hope you manage to get out into your garden and that the next 24 hours see you feeling a little better xx
Hester - OUCH :eek::eek::eek::eek::eek:
jackieg - hope you're feeling better soon xx
Hugs to those that need them. Have a great Sunday OS or not.

dry here but cloudy , hoping to get the last of the bedding done today , garden is looking ok , except right at the bottom where DH is felling some leylandi :j once its cleared he will put up a fence and then is making some decking , it catches the sun all day at the bottom of the garden so should be lovely , will probably take several [STRIKE]weeks[/STRIKE] months
really enjoyed Dr Who last night , the weeping angels are the most scary things arnt they ?
going to sit and watch the marathon this morning on the tele, good luck to all running - I admire them greatly its such an achievement :T
have a good sunday everyone
(((hugs))) to all who need esp Ladygrim / Diva0 -
Good Morning Chums ,bit overcast at the moment here in north Kent but hopefully it will brighten up a bit later the sun is trying to come out at least.
No sign of my 'Basil' maybe he has found someone else to beg his breakfast from as I had been away,oh well no doubt he will appear at some point. Going to have a 'pottering day' today just doing what I feel like, as my joints are a bit stiff this morning. One of my neighbours popped round yesterday to ask how my holiday went and as I was standing having a chat on the doorstep a chap came along putting leaflets through the door for his party. He went to give me one and I looked at it and said thank you but I'm afraid I don't vote for your lot .He went into a great harangue about the foolishness of folk who didn't vote Labour and finished up with saying 'I can't understand how council tenants don't vote for labour as if it wasn't for our party you wouldn't have anywhere to live'
I immediatly told him
A.I don't live in a council house and never have
b I bought and paid for my house from the results of both myself and my late husbands efforts in working damned hard to pay for it and the labour party had nothing ever to do with ever rehousing me in the past 68 years.blooming cheek of the bloke. My neighbour told him to take a hike as well as she was dumbfounded that anyone could be so rude. No wonder the incumbent M.P had such a low majority last time I think he scraped in by around 260 odd votes .I think he will be looking for a new job in a few weeks
MSD my DGS Danny had a wonderful time in Torquay last week with his girlfriend and said o.k. it wasn't New York but anywhere with Chloe was great for him. They are a lovely couple and I can see them settling down in a few years together as she is a dear little soul and she adores him as he does her.
I shall be off to see my little lads this afternoon and have dinner at my youngest DDs house as usual I have a few bits for the children that I got on my travels and a nice 'lardy' cake for my DD as she loves them.
Right now I'm off to have some breakfast and sort out the fridge to see what I need for my shopping tomorrow.Hope everyone has a good day and ,,hugs.. to those who are down and sad.
Cheers JackieO xx0 -
Morning All
Cloudy but warm here this morning.
Couldn't get logged on here yesterday at all  but no problems this morning:j
Had a nice day yesterday. Watched DS play football, ran some errands. Found a new place to buy free range eggs - 80p half dozen cheapest I can get round here. Spent some time sitting in the sun reading and had our first barbeque of the year which was lovely.
Today I must have slept funny as I seem to have pulled a muscle in the top of my back - hoping the pain killers kick in soon as I need to do some more ironing later.
Not sure what is for dinner, if the sun comes out it will be barbeque again. Am out for breakfast this morningas have to kill some time whilst DS is at boxing. Would be a waste of time and petrol if we came home. A new Aldi has opended near the boxing club so will pop in there also.
We delivered the Marathon Medals yesterday as we do each year - it will be the closest I ever get to that medal though :rotfl:
Have a great Sunday.x0 -
Morning All
DD was quite agreeable to watching TV for a while in bed this morning so I didn't get up until after 8 which was nice as I was really tired at half six when she first woke me!
WM is on, first cup of coffee is near done but I think I will need more! I'm back at work in the morning for the first time since mid-march and I have to drive myself which I also haven't done since then. We have to go out today to do a couple of MSing jobs so I think I'm driving so DH is with me 'just incase'.
Lunch will be sausage sandwiches for the Twins and we will get lunch out of the MSing. Dinner will be fajitas as we'll be out all afternoon and want something that won't take much effort.
Need to do the DW and make some toast for DD and some more coffee for me.
The sponge recipe has been bookmarked and might give that a go during the week.
Hope your back feels better soon Jackie - I have trouble with my back now and again and know how debilitating it can be. Take care x
Have a good dayClimbing back on the OS wagon after a short vacation to Recklessness

Morning all......a dull one at that.....((((((((((((((((((((HUGS)))))))))))))))))) if you need one.
Problems on the farm, one of the mares should have foaled last week, it looks like its all kicking off, the vet has just arrived........
No gardening this morning, its dizzling, so OH tells me. maybe it will clear this afternoon. The garden is looking much better, we have quite a few shrubs in now and I planted the honeysuckle yesterday, I am going to let it ramble along the fence at the back.
Supper tonight is roast pork, I cooked it yesterday, will slice it this morning and freeze some for later.
I am having a problem with my bread, its very crumbly, not sure why.....but what ever I need to make bread today, we finished the loaf yesterday, might play about with the recipe a bit.
Not sure what I am going to be doing this morning, I was going to garden, but as its raining thats on the back burner. Was 13st 8 lbs,Now 12st 11 Lost 10 1/4lbs since I started on my diet.0 -
Morning Peeps
we`ve had some rain here overnight but its brighter now
Wish i`d got the water butt finished yesterday but it took an age to get the guttering up and all the joints in the right places, i almost threw it over the fence in exasperationjust need to get a couple of bits for it now and drill another hole and then bobs your uncle
I`ve been at w*rk since early doors but not had time to pop on until now as its been a bit hectic with one thing and another, DH has "gorn fishin" with the houndies so just myself and the cat until tomorrow night. Hope i manage to get to the diy store this afternoon before it closes. All being well should just make it
Right must dash, have a good day everyone.
SDPlanning on starting the GC again soon0 -
Morning all,
We have rain too, the garden will be glad of it, but i hope it clears up as OH has to get on my mums roof today and fiddle with the ariel.
I loved Dr Who last night, the stone angels are brilliant :T cant wait till next week. Watching the marathon now, I am full of admiration for anyone who can run it.
I took a piece of pork out of the freezer yesterday, Think I might do crushed roasted new potatoes with garlic, and some salad with it, there should be enough left for tomorrows dinner too.
Bedding is in the wm, will have to put it on the airer today, dd has gone to strip her bed.
Hugs to those in need, have good days all xx0 -

N9eav MRLP manifesto made me chuckle I always vote but think that they are all as bad as each other and you never know the truth till they come to power dont think whoever wins will get voted again as we seem to be in such a mess it will be a tough few years
Right onwards n upwards
Have a good day
Hugs to Lady Grim and PPin
