    Hi Dunstonh,

Thank you for your information. It is appreciated.

The insurance co we are with is Pearl.

I think you are right in saying we should probably get an independant financial adviser to come to see us and explain exactly what the policy types are and mean, and decide from them when we have explained what we want.

We are paying over £35.00 in premiums (jointly) for the individual policies we have, this double what we were paying 15 years ago, and having over another 20 years to go I just wonder what premiums we will end up paying for them.

The Pearl whole of life plan had a minimum premium of £20 back then. It would have only provided around £10k-£20k life assurance if I am guessing your age range right.

By seeing a local IFA they may be able to rebroker the life assurance into a more modern plan which may be more cost effective as well as going through the options.
I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only. They are not financial advice and you should not treat them as such. If you feel an area discussed may be relevant to you, then please seek advice from an Independent Financial Adviser local to you.
