I haven't seen this covered here but I thought I would just share this so you all know how to spot the Amazon scammer. I have copied his e-mail and highlighted the relevant passage.
hello seller
i am in london, my name is beckam i saw your advert on the net for the sales of (item) and am interest in buying it, if you are interest in selling it for me i will like you to mail me back PIX and tellingthe persent condition andn to ship directly to be in london so i will make your payment direct to (amazon. co. uk) and i want you to get back to me with the listing id of the (item) so get back to me a. s. a. p becos am willing to buy it soon.
If they get this information the next thing you will receive will be a fake invoice from Amazon (!). I am sure regular Amazon sellers will be aware of this one but just be warned if you see any mention of "listing id" it will be a scam.
I know a bit about African mythology and I send back an appropriate response that with a bit of luck will get them worried...
