You can also paint plastic flowerpots if you use chalk paint or plaster of paris mixed with left-over emulsion.

Use carrier bags as bin liners. I also use them for scooping the cat litter into.
When you're done with the oven, leave it open slightly to let the warm air out to help warm the room up.0 -
When next at the dentist, don't be afraid to ask for toothpaste. Seriously. All dentists get sample tubes (the mini ones you can buy in Boots etc for your holidays) of various brands (including for sensitive teeth). Most will not let on to patients they have them unless you ask. When last at the dentist I came away with enough samples to last my household a year.CC2 = £8687.86 ([STRIKE]£10000[/STRIKE] )CC1 = £0 ([STRIKE]£9983[/STRIKE] ); Reusing shopping bags savings =£5.80 vs spent £1.05.Wine is like opera. Turn the temperature down just before you turn off the shower. Then you aren't paying for warm water which just sits in the pipes. Remember to turn it back up before using the next time though!:eek:The beautiful thing about learning is nobody can take it away from you.
Thanks to everyone who contributes to this wonderful forum. I'm very grateful for the guidance and friendliness that I always receive from you.

I have an empty five litre tub with a handle left by my builder,he used it for wallpaper paste I washed it out and when I run a shower in the morning the cold water goes into the tub and when it runs warm I switch it off and the half filled tub of cold water gets used for watering my garden shrubs or to sluice down the loo instead of flushing.I think its wicked to waste water and I am paying for it afterall (metered)I just lift the tub into the bathroom and once I have showered and dressed water the garden or the loo0

Make use of the weather at the moment if you have long hair and let it dry naturally.
Also now is a perfect time to launder any winter blankets/coats/curtains. Also as most places try to keep up a stock of items suitable for this heatwave they are getting rid of some of their winter items so look out for silly prices to clear their stock!CC2 = £8687.86 ([STRIKE]£10000[/STRIKE] )CC1 = £0 ([STRIKE]£9983[/STRIKE] ); Reusing shopping bags savings =£5.80 vs spent £1.05.Wine is like opera. I have been making kombucha tea for well over a year now.
Recently I left it way too long, after being too busy to tend to it and found it had turned very vinegary.
On researching Google I found that it was indeed vinegar, but milder than the kind you buy.
Nevertheless, it descaled my kettle and the limescale around my taps.
I now use it for all my cleaning where I would have used white vinegar. I mix it with a little liquid soap.
I have also cleaned the dishwasher and washing machine with it.
Now I make one jar of kombucha to drink and one that I leave for a month to make my own vinegar. All for the price of a few spoons of sugar and a couple of tea bags.
It has masses of other uses too.Grocery Challenge £139/240 until 31/01
