travelling from didcot to leeds

My OH and i want to travel from Didcot to Leeds 13.6.10
after 2pm. My OH has a disabled rail card.
I have looked up
Didcot to Birmingham New Street £31.00
Birmingham New Street to Leeds £23.00
We need a waiting time of about an hour in Birmingham.
This is what the trainline came up with
Can anyone do any better.

Do you have to change at Birmingham? could you change at Oxford?
Didcot Parkway to Leeds 13th June dep 14.36 arr 18.51 change Oxford advance Single £34.30 2x adults with Disabled Railcard
One catch, I don't know your OH level of disablity but its only a 16min connection time at Oxford, might be a problem.
This info from East coast trains, don't use the trainline.con as they charge extra fees
