Changing Your Hosting Provider

Does anyone know if changing your hosting provider, affects the ranking listing you have on Google? Reason I ask is I used to get loads of people registering with me via my company website, yet since my IT person has changed the hosting company, hardly anybody has registered with me so now I'm wondering why not.:o

No it shouldn't affect it as long as the domain name stayed the same. Unless your IT person has changed to host whos servers reside in a different country which means the site may not be found with the UK radio button selected on the Google UK homepage.
The site may be experiencing some downtime that you haven't noticed which might explain the fall in new registrations. Another explantion could be slow responses from the new hosts server, many people won't wait long before hitting the back button and trying a different site.
Check that Google has your sites web pages indexed. To check this do a google search for 'site:mysite.com' without the quotes. It will list all pages that are indexed for that site.0
