Wages paid into wrong account

Hi all,
over the course of the last 8 months I have started a debt management plan. This has included changing my bank to a basic bank account, doing a family budget and sticking to it, using a debt management agency to control all my financial affairs and negotiating with my Mortgage people to repay the 3 months arrears I owe them and continue to pay the full mortgage amount on a set date every month.
All my money is accounted for and none is spare.
Now it seems that my wages for last week was payed by accident into my old account and swallowed up into the debt I owe leaving me with no mortgage payment this month.
I have already been warned that if I am late paying my mortgage then they will start legal proceedings to repossess. Does anybody know if there is anything I can do to get my wages back ? or are they lost forever and I must admit defeat?
Thank you in advance for any advice.

I seem to remember from years ago in another life when I worked in banking that a BACS payment can be recalled. might be worth seeing if your employer's able to do this, though I'm guessing it's all now cleared so more difficult than if the day after it was sent....
essentially, they've made the wrong payment, so any chance I can see involves going through the payer.
Assuming you made them aware of where to pay it and got confirmation it'll be paid there, they should sort out their error whether they can reverse/reclaim or not in my opinion. Appreciate that might lead to a conflict you don't want to have, but I can't see another way....0
