That looks interesting! How do I tell if his laptop broke because of the nvidia graphics chips?

What are the symptoms, if it has been diagnosed correctly, then it's highly likely it's related to the known problem, even if not, a laptop should work longer than 12/18 months, and you can use SOGA to badger the retailer into a free repair

Blue writing came up - think it said critical error occured - then it died. The lead was tested all fine - the man said the motherboard was burnt out but he didn't open it up or anything.
