Does anyone do Kleeneze? I've just enquired about it and had some information sent thorough. It's not very clear in the leaflets about payment, it mentions £100 for a starter kit including 50 catalogues.
Does this have to be paid up front? Or does it get taken out of commission.
I'm not naive enough to believe the claims of huge earnings, but does anyone know if it's worth doing?

Hiya by the way loving your universe signature very funny, i know a few that would apply too

I had a chat with a lady yesterday about this as i rang the number in our local paper as it didn't state who it was with, so i asked her which company and she said Kleeneze and i said it would be a no go because i haven't got the money for the brochures, but she said they could come to some agreement and maybe pay out of my first earnings
But i'm not going for it as i don't like the fact that they have no territory and some other kleeneze distributor could come on your patch and basically annoy your customers when they have books coming out of there ears :rotfl:That and paying for my books think there about 30p each.
I wanted to do betterware but cannot get on nothing near me and i have applied to DHL. I know they are not mega bucks as well but they fit with the family and no childcare costs. x
Good luck if you go for it.0 -
If they can take it out of the first earnings that'd be better. I spoke briefly to someone on Thursday who said he'd send out the info I got today, and he said they don't have anyone in this area at all at the moment.
The thing that bothers me as well as paying up front, is the amount of information in the leaflets about getting other people involved. I really don't want to do that, I just want to deliver booklets and take in orders. But they seem quite focused on building teams.Moving onto a better place...Ciao :wave:0 -
I know what you mean she kept saying to me about it being your own business etc which is not what i want hence me trying betterware.
Hope someone who works for them enlightens you x0 -
Not sure if its still the same - I started with Kleeneze in Jan 09 and gave up about 3 weeks after lol - but we had to pay for the brochures etc up front, which added up to a lot. Watch out for the extras - paying for delivery of products, paying for order forms, paying to order online!!! - it all adds up. With working full time we just couldn't deliver the brochures often enough to get enough orders to break even - we could only manage to deliver the 200 brochures once a week which on one drop only got us £20!!! of orders, so we ended up selling the books on ebay to get back some of the money. Not trying to put you off - it obviously works for some people, each company has their pros & cons, just research thoroughly before you pay anything out.Avon Lady since 2009 - I help on the Avon hints & tips thread to help other reps/new sales leaders as I was helped so much by it when I first started out :A0

We were involved with Kleeneze for several years. It was a lot of hard work and as with any business you have to put the time and effort in.
If you're just looking to earn £50 a week it is doable however; you need to really give it a few months to do that. You do put in a lot of effort in the beginning just to break even and see the £50 a week. Knowning what I know now if I were just looking for £50 I'd go with Betterware.
If you're looking for a full-time business then it's a way to go. You really need to spend a lot of time not only retailing but recruiting. Lots of meetings to attend, lots of wasted journeys to see potential recruits who join put out one lot of books and quit, lots of days/nights getting wet putting books out.
You have to be focused, you can't let set backs get you down. I know people who do it that make a lot of money from it, but they gave it 150%.
My husband and I both are self employed and we spread ourselves to thin doing Kleeneze along with our other jobs. Our main businesses are established and we earn a decent wage from them. So rather than take time away from the businesses that were making us money we gave up Kleeneze.
I can see the concept behind making you pay for the catalogues. For starters if you were setting up any kind of business whether it be window cleaning, e-commerce, plumbing.. you're going to have to spend money on your tools. The catalogues can be used over and over again.
If you have to spend the money for the catalogues you're more inclined to go back and get them rather than have them sit outside customer's front doors uncollected (like Betterware) until they get annoyed and throw them out.
The company isn't wasting money/trees on catalogues that people are never going to use which can be used towards paying profits and holidays etc.____________________________________________

So does this mean they don't have new catalogues very often? For instance the Avon ones are every 3 weeks, do the Kleeneze ones last longer?Mati1968 wrote:If you're just looking to earn £50 a week it is doable however; you need to really give it a few months to do that. I've emailed Betterware as well, but not heard anything from them yet.Moving onto a better place...Ciao :wave:0 -
Yeah, they change twice a year - they have supplement books as well (health and beauty etc) don't know how often they change though. Which made it even more frustrating when you couldn't get the brochures back, as you knew you could have used them for months.Avon Lady since 2009 - I help on the Avon hints & tips thread to help other reps/new sales leaders as I was helped so much by it when I first started out :A0

That's interesting! I was thinking I'd end up having to buy new sets books every few weeks, twice a year (apart from top ups) doesn't sound as bad, although I'd prefer not to pay at all lol.Moving onto a better place...Ciao :wave:0
