You can't sell them, however you can transfer them to other point collecting programmes (eg Hilton points). You can use them on partner airlines, so maybe domestic flights with BMI ?Legal team on standby0

Given that the economy return starts at about £120 this makes BA miles seem like very poor value.
Remember that you get more BA miles on flights - which is why you need to spend more.
