Like Linda suggested, if you really want a veil of some kind, I think a birdcage type would look fab with that dress!!

Wow love that dress...and definitely don't think of anything that will cover the back of it0

thank you everyone, the point about not hiding the back is a great one well made!

I have tattoos on my shoulder which will be seen a bit but everyone knows I have them so it would be a bit silly to try and hide them now :rotfl:
it will make getting some undies interesting but I'm sure I can find something!
I really appreciate all your help :T0 -

I think that dress, plus something similar to the fascinator above with ivory on it, with your ivory shoes would tie together quite beautifully.0 -
That dress is stunning and reminds me of the one Nicole Kidman wears for chanel no.5 maybe? She wears a necklace that drapes down the back and it looks stunning....just an idea

I got married in November with a dark red dress and had black accessories. I had planned to have an orchid in my hair and the florist did a simple one on a slide but it was too much with my jewellery so hair was bare!Light Bulb Moment - 11th Nov 2004 - Debt Free Day - 25th Mar 2011 :j0 -
How about a very small top hat fascinator? This would be quite dramatic so for a softer look, defo something like shellsuit suggested.
This is one of my favs. ONly the linky incase of copyright.

Again, rather like the dramatic look of this http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_jrR67zTrGdA/R16BPe0rnwI/AAAAAAAAAHk/GLhyAkcZxFU/s400/flower%2Bbirdcage%2Bveil.png
Look at the use of colour in this http://media.photobucket.com/image/birdcage%20veils/joeireedhats/display%20only%20but%20can%20be%20recreated/IMG_1001sm.jpg
Love the feather use in this http://circleparkbridal.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2009/04/img_9400bc.jpg
And something soft and romantic would be great like this. http://media.theknot.com/ImageStage/Objects/0021/0050669/large_image.jpg

oh Linda thank you those are fabulous, and yes I love the last one too!
And I love all the feathers (although I have a beloved aunty with a bird phobia, so need to check with her whether she is ok with just feathers!)
I tried a top hat style a few weeks ago as they had some little ones in Debenhams, they are fantastic!
I am quite creative and nifty with my fingers, so am looking forward to having a rummage in some craft shops to try and rustle something fabulous up.
Thank you thank you thank you! :j0 -
Don't do craft shops, mega expensive. Try http://www.josyrose.com/ or even The Sewing Forum for tips on millinery (bags, hats shoes and other)

Out of interest, can you take thos fascinators off without messing up your hair?
Likewise with veils actually.0 -
many of them are on a hair band so can easily be removed without too much disruption to the hair.0
