  • hey all,

Can I join in please? I don't drink nearly as much as I did in my late teens/early twenties, but lately have been finding that even a drink or two can leave me feeling sluggish the next day!

I hardly ever drink at home, but as I'm a bit of a social butterfly, I probably drink "out" a bit too often!

With the start of my probation year (newly qualified teacher) coming up, and moving into a flat with OH more than anything I really need to cut down what I'm spending on the old alcohol!

My summer hols are over on the 12th of August - and as the kids are back in school on the 16th, I'd like to give up the booze altogether between 16th Aug - 12th of Sep (I have a hen do).

How does this challenge work? Are you setting a target for the month? Or just counting down the AF days as you go?

    Thanks all! :D

Hi Laura and welcome to the thread

Some of us set a target amount of "alcohol free" days we'd like to achieve of a month and just tot them up as we go. Some go "target free" and just see how they get on. Sometimes we have little challenges too...just had a 24 hour one...and its amazing how much it helps keep you off the booze!

    Good luck !

  • Thanks for the welcome miss piggy! :D

In that case, for August, I'll aim for 27/31 days alcohol free! :j
