    Hiya guys.

Hope you're all having a lovely weekend.

My Girlfriend and I finished painting my bathroom today, and it looks so much fresher :)

I spent the evening, happily on my tod, listening to John Coltrane blasting out, as I got on with tiling my bathroom floor - half way there, and it already looks loads better!

Will finish it off tomorrow (Sunday).

Feels great to have the bathroom looking a lot more homely.

Had a bit of a cry earlier, as I was missing my Mum and Nan.

They died years back, but it's still tough sometimes.

Just wish I could have a chat with them, and give them a big hug.

A lot of it, is probably due to the fact that I spent the last 10 + years, drinking on any difficult emotions..

Now, I can no longer do that. I don't want to do that!

While not easy, it does feel great being able to think clearly, even if the thoughts are not always good ones.

I'm not actually even missing the booze, even though the last few days have been stressful. Just feel a bit empty / flat, and tired, so should get to bed.

Went for a lovely walk, with my Girlfriend yesterday, and we sat at the top of a big hill, taking in some fresh air :)

Had a good chat with my alcohol counsellor on Friday too, and we've made an appointment, for next Friday.

So, no mad boozy, rock and roll Saturday night out here, but to be honest I feel happy!

    Best wishes to you all.

    Sim x ( 22 days sober as of Saturday night :) )

Morning all, glad everyone enjoyed their Maccyds.I wonder what culinary delights I can tempt you with this week? I appall myself sometimes at how awful some of my meals are,can cook but hate it in this hot weather. At least I have a never ending supply of home grown lettuce, also got peas, broad beans ready now, runner beans, aubergines, leeks and peppers for later in the year.

Well done Sim,on your AFness, will be so worth it for you.:T

Glad you are on the mend Miss P.:)
