Hi
Just wondered whether anyone knows about a car boot sale at the Kassam football ground in Oxford (Blackbird Leys area). It used to be on a sunday but i cant find any info on it that is up to date.
Just wanted to know is it every Sunday?
What time does it start for sellers?
Has anyone tried selling clothes and is it worth it...i have bags and bags of clothes and not sure what to do with them all!!
Thanks in advance

Yes - this is still on a Sunday Morning. Opens for buyers at 09:30 so probably should be open for seller at about 08:00. I have no contact for that.
There is also one at Burcot (or Abingdon later in the year) that starts at 07:00 on a Sunday - the contact for that is 01491 832196
HTH!I am a cow so cannot speak Bullshine but I do recognise its smell when I come upon it.0 -
How busy do these car boot sales get? I am hoping to try a few others over the next few weeks.
I am just back from one in Didcot and there were just 12 sellers and very few buyers. It may be because of the bank holiday but seeing as its my first time I'm not sure.

Don't go to Didcot, there's only a few sellers there...
Use Oxford Kassam where there is hard standing and somes over 100 stalls and an uncountable number of buyers as it is free for the buyers
Alternately, try the Burcot one which is in a field (so is sometimes cancelled if field is wet) but a similar number of buyers and sellers.

We've done the Kassam on numerous occasions with no problems, two females selling and made over £100 from 'junk'... although people expect a bargain so clothes were going for around 50p each and wouldn't fetch much more.
We did bundles- say 6 items for £3, that seemed to work well.If you aim for the moon if you miss at least you will land among the stars!0 -
Hey...
I called the organiser of Kassam car boot, it's every sunday and sellers should be there between 7.30 and 9! I think the guy said £10 but i forget now.
I have done it there before few years ago in a december and it was a bit scary and i did have a few things probably stolen...but i was situated next to a chap selling some adult toys which kept me entertained!! I'd recommend going with some help, but i cant persuade anyone to get up that early so i'll struggle through!!
Agree that people did want something for nothing but i want rid of stuff so i guess its what you want. Tetsworth is also ok but less clothes sold when i did it last summer.
Didcot too far away or i may have given it a go.
Hope some of that is of help.0
