Hi,
As said on the tin really!
Got a Sony hd camera and need to get the footage on to Final Cut Pro, but when connected and fcp is opened, it still says there is no firewire connected. I have tried selecting log and capture when all is plugged in, and it says there is no video etc.
I have also changed my system settings/ audio visual settings to the specific camera I am using, i.e. changed from dv to hdv 1080i etc. Nothing.
Is anyone able to be my knight and suggest what I am doing wrong =(

Which Sony HD camera do you have?
Generally Final Cut Pro wont import from the camera. You may need special drivers.
However, you should be able to import using iMovie. Connect and wait as it can take a while for the images to display before being able to import.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature.
