Halifax student current account

Hi moneysavers,
I have a halifax student current account since last 3 years. I am extended a student overdraft of 750 pounds which is interest free.
I want to keep that overdraft as that has tremendously helped me upto unimaginable levels. It is over a year now that I have left uni ( obiviously graduated successfully) so technically speaking i am not a student. But halifax has not bothered to revert or change my student benefits.
my queries are 1) Will i be in any sort of trouble if i continue to have the overdraft benefits.
2) Am i obliged to inform the bank about my graduation ( i thought they should have known this.
I do not want to do anything illegal. But at the same time i do not want to loose my overdraft. Can you all please suggest me the best move...?????

I think most student bank accounts stay on student status for about a year after you graduate as they don't expect you to magically get straightened out.
As an example of this I finished my post-graduate degree about 18 months ago and I still have my £600 Halifax overdraft (and use it!) but my account is not recorded as a student account anymore. I think as long as you're paying money in banks don't tend to take away overdrafts but will begin to bring in charges over time...

when you opened the account a date of leaving uni would have been keyed - you can then keep the student benefits a year afterwards. you will receive a letter and then the student indicator will be taken off
happened to me - just overdraft was no longer 0%0
