Best account to use?

I have an IF Current Account with linked Savings jars which are working very well for me.
The thing is, I will now be getting regular cheques from health insurance and cheques and cash from work expenses.
Cheques are difficult to pay in and cash is impossible.
So what I need is a high street accessible current/savings account that I can pay cheques into and possibly transfer some funds back to by IF account online.
Which is the best account to use? I tried Smile but unfortunately got declined for their current account.

First Direct give you money via Quidco.com and also a credit in your actual account. I post cheques off all the time and they go in quickly and efficiently, plus on the phone they are great.
A&L are due to open a 6% current account and 12% savings account in early September. You may want to consider leaving IF completely for a better rate with a high street bank.
If you'd like help with managing your saving jars in one place rather than several, that is exactly why I have devised a spreadsheet for MSER's - PM me for details. I tested it for 4 months before unleashing it on here!MFW #185

I don't earn enough for any A&L accounts - they usually require a £1000 deposit per month
Another internet account isn't much use for cash thoughNo longer using this account for new posts from 20130 -
You can pay cash into A&L via the Post Office and it clears immediately (as with smile). FD quidco cashback ends on the 13th of this month so act fast!
Also A&L Premier Direct current account has a minimum funding of only £500 per month.0 -
Also you can pay cheques and cash into the Post Office for FD if you live in Scotland too.0

What about Nationwide? There is no minimum pay in (should be a grand but they give lower interest rates if you don't).0

Thanks, will try them on Monday
