Hi ebayers
Just a reminder for all those taking advantage of 10p listing day, if you list for 10 days then your postal prices will have to be adjusted to take account of the change on August 21st.
Just altered mine back to 7 days.

I thought about this... but I prefer 10 day listings and I suppose I'll have to bite the bullet sooner or later with regard to the new rates.
Also... there was a danger that people on 7 day auctions would pay late... then I'd be stuck with the old postage price, while having to pay the new one.My TV is broken!
Edit: refunded £515 for TV 1.5 years out of warranty - thank you Sale of Goods Act! :j0 -

Recorded delivery is fixed at 68p on top of standard post but special was always something different. Therefore recorded won't be affected as it will still just be 68p on top of standard post which may or may not go up.
I'm not sure how special will work in future. The fact that it isn't affected seems to suggest that it will continue to be entirely based on weight and not dimensions, which could mean that for some items it could be cheaper to send special rather than recorded...just.

I might need to send out some partial refunds on postage on my current auctions then! :rotfl:My TV is broken!

You're probably thinking of Recorded, which I think is an extra 66p or something added to 1st or 2nd class postal charges. Special is more expensive (it gaurantees next day delivery and includes extra insurance), but it's a flat rate with only a few weight bands, rather than a surcharge aded to regular post prices.frivolous_fay wrote:Whaaa? Oops, too slow, I see Soo already answered.
The same thought occurred to me, so I decided to stick with 10 day auctions. Since I also used the free BIN upgrade on the cheap listing day, so my items may sell earlier, I quoted whichever postage rate was higher (plus a small packagng charge) to be on the safe side.frivolous_fay wrote:Also... there was a danger that people on 7 day auctions would pay late... then I'd be stuck with the old postage price, while having to pay the new one.0
