Time Limit for Delivery of Goods

Hi,
We ordered some new hardwood flooring back in January. As this was finished before packaging (ie. lacquered by hand ) we were told it could take 5-6 weeks for delivery. Not a problem, however, time went by and eventually we were told they were having problems matching the colour of the flooring whatever that meant, and that we could expect delivery now end of March and were given a fitting date 6th April. Once again that went by with excuses, the next date given was the 15th with fitting on the19th. Again this has passed with no results. We have now been told it will definitely be here on the 7th May and fitted 10th.
My problem is that I am going abroad, at the end of May, and need some sort of flooring down before I go, so am I entitled to cancel my order and get a full refund if once again they fail to deliver. This will I hope still allow me time to find an alternative somewhere else.

Hi Keith,
You need to make "time of the essence". Send a recorded delivery letter to them setting a reasonable deadline for them to deliver the goods, outlining you will be holding them in breach of contract and seeking a full refund if they fail to deliver.0
