Hey all
I have a 54 plate Mitsubishi Evolution VIII 260 with 41000 miles on the clock. Unfortunately it looks like its going to have to go as i've a wedding to pay for this year, so i'll have to downgrade to something thats a bit cheaper to run. Anybody on here have any idea as to how much its worth, private/trade sale and how much a dealer will be likely to offer me for it.

ps thinking about downgrading to something like a focus st, any verdict on what these are like to run??

Thanks again

Shame you've got to get rid of the Mitsu - must be one of the fastest road legal saloons you can buy. Try Parker's Guide for prices. When you downgrade, why not consider the ordinary Lancer? Obviously nothing like what you're used to, but the 2 litre is quite quick, and the 1.6 is sturdy and reliable and very cheap second hand since the introduction of the new Lancer last year.
I used to think that good grammar is important, but now I know that good wine is importanter.

Congratulations  always like to celebrate when an Evo owner finally gets a girlfriend :T

Have you done a search on Autotrader or Pistonheads websites to look at buying one and worked out the average from half a dozen or so on sale, and then put the details into the absolute worst offer you would get from somewhere like Webuyanycar.com, this will give you a rough idea, we run a few Focus ST at work and they are pretty reliable and nearly as much fun as girls......but not quite :)

LOL i had the girlfriend before i had the evo. Been looking on pistonheads and autotrader at the prices on there, seem to be priced anywhere between 9 to 12k. Thought about a bog standard lancer but i just couldnt bring myself to do it after being used to an Evo. Anyone have a Parker guide handy as i've a couple of garages interested and i want to play them at they're own game when they offer me something stupid for mine in part exchange

You can do parkers on line. Just google it.

Stock answer to that will be "get Parkers to buy the car off you at that price then"... they are a guide price, not a firm commitment to purchase your car.
