OMG, Thanks Lakshmi7!!! My first win of 2010! But advice needed!!

Many thanks to Lakshmi7 who posted the competition to win £200 of Harris Brush vouchers and a DIY Kit. I received an email this morning to confirm that i was a runner up. The only problem is I live in wales and the email states that you have to pick up the prize from the Birmingham radio station HQ! If i email them and say that i will pay for the postage would they will post it??!!

I am so happy to win, but bit sad that i might loose out!

Maybe a kind reader that lives near could pick it up for you and post on? If i was nearer I would have but I am in Yorkshire.

I wouldn't have thought so but maybe somene here could help, you could always give the radio station a call and see what you can arrange, if you don't ask you will never know. Hope you manage to sort it hun, great first win too x

The Ts and Cs didn't actually specify that the prizes had to be picked up, as far as I could see, but they did state:
Entrants must be over the age of 18 and reside in the Radio Station’s analogue FM broadcast area
Maybe they just assumed that all the winners would be local and able to pick up their prizes...

I'm sure if you could arrange for someone to pick the prize up or agree to pay the postage, they would be willing to help.

When you talk to them, I would say that you heard the competition whilst you were in Birmingham, so didn't realise that the competition was region specific, as their Red Dragon station broadcasts in Wales.

I thought i would say that i heard it whilst in the area and entered. Will give it a go. Would it be best to call them now, or wait until they contact me via email next week as they are waiting for the vouchers to come in??

I would contact them now, and be very apologetic about the 'mistake' you made. I think if you do that, it will make them more amenable towards you.
