Oh anyone know what I could get hubby for our anniversary? I hadn't planned on giving gifts but he's ordered something (I assume flowers)
I'm so not fussed on anniversary gifting :o
Search on eBay for cotton for items ending within the next day that are within your correct price range and then look through the results in the collectables and antiques categories. I got OH some antique cotton reels from a Yorkshire cotton mill for our second anniversary (he has family from Yorkshire and some of his ancestors worked in the mills).

I'm trying to think of something for my OH for our 2nd anniversary too Sami - we got married same month and year as you :) I'm looking at the watches on amazon as a possible fathers day pressie and am on the lookout for something 'cotton' too.

I'm also trying to find a nice charm bracelet for me: I remember elle posting a link to a site where she got the breastfeeding charm, but am not having much luck with the forum search so if anyone remembers what the site was could you let me know? Thanks :D

(also, if anyone would like to send me a PM for any reason, best to do so in the next couple of weeks as I'm on holiday in 3 weeks time and can't guarantee I'll be online much) ;)
  • Hi everyone,

My babba was SO tired last night he was falling asleep in the bath  The CM took him to Hoo Farm for the morning and he refused to go in the buggy so he walked for the whole 2 1/2 hours they were there :A

Was funny because I got in the bath with him and he cuddled up and kissed my boob...then he lifted his head up and contemplated my nipple for ages, then looked at the other one as if about to latch!!! I quickly distracted him with a wash and then he was in bed by 6.30pm.

My mother has just informed me that it is my parents 40th wedding anniversary this weekend so I need to rustle up a card and possibly a gift too!! We don't 'do' anniversaries normally so this one has been sprung on me, I only found out because she sent me a text about maybe taking us out for lunch tomorrow (they are coming over to see hubby).

ME TOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO. Ours is Monday :D:D (I remember this game from last year...someone else's besides you, me & Sami is this weekend too but I can't remember who!) We're not doing gifts as instead we went to an expensive-for-us restaurant on Monday...but as it's cotton I think I can manage something for a pound or so. Crap I need to get a card sorted though...

It's so HOT, just came back from a walk to the post office. Oh and got my TC pack! :T now need to dig out DH's payslips and do some serious maths (he had like 4 jobs last year and doesn't have slips/P45s for all of them).

WM I hope you're already packing up to go home ;)

I'm  at Husband. We're both working from home and twice now he's started yelling at his computer, causing me to lose my train of thought and hence the paragraph I was writing. The paper I'm working is a bu99er and any lapse in concentration causes me to forget what I'm doing.

Hopefully he will be generous when it comes to birthday spa and cleaner. Let's hope the cleaner's a deep deep cleaner kind of person.

Wonder if MFD has a hangover.

HEY MFD: YOU HUNGOVER?? WANT US TO KEEP THE NOISE DOWN?

LOL - my assistant made me lots of coffee in my meeting this morning and then went out for KFC at lunchtime - she is a star!!

We neglected to eat before we went out last night so we were a little tipsy!

Hubby has already gone out drinking this afternoon, I am picking him up when I collect Benjamin. Personally I can't think of anything I want to do less than start drinking again!

Oh My GOD. The icandy is AWFUL!!!!

I'm soooooooo sorry to be always full of misery LOL. But i've just took it out with the dog and i hate it. I got stuck every kerb i wanted to go up or down. The handlebar is foamless as they are renowned for coming off, and digs into my hands. The hood is a pile of poo. Amber is totally uncomfortable in it, she slopes sideways and the straps don't support her AT ALL!

I think it's nice, it looks lovely, and it does most things i want it to, it has a good big basket and it's study... but none of that matters when it's a big effort to push, does it??

I saw someone with a Buzz and i felt a big fat pang of jealousy and was reminded how easy it was to push and how comfortable Amber was in it.

I'm going to advertise it in the paper and ask for £150 ono... Will take what i paid for it (£135 with P&P). And then i'm gonna buy a Joolz ;) lol.
