    Morning ladies & Bruno,

Gisi - have a lovely time at the wedding :)

3 - I'm quite literally green with envy at your lush stokke, V looks very happy in it :D And Isla has that dress too so maybe I need a stokke to match?! I hope L isn't too upset today at the funeral but having her mum with her will be a comfort.

Lady - hope you have a great holiday.

    Beenie's got a pram!

    I've forgotten everything else, sorry!

Last night is the first time all week I've managed to eat any dinner. I've just been picking at toast and struggling not to feel queasy but hopefully today I really am better. I better had be as OH is taking half day and we're meeting him in town for lunch then meeting friends for dinner. It'll be Isla's first trip to nando's so should be fun.

I went to get her weighed yesterday and she's now 14lb 14oz at 28 weeks, she's dropped from the 25th centile to just above the 9th but she's happy and feeds well so I'm not concerned. She's got awful nappy rash though and about 4 teeth all threatening to burst through at any time so is quite a grumpy little madam :(

    Hope everyone's well x x

Someone left me a neutral on ebay saying a dress smelt of stale smoke. It didn't, it smelt of cord, cos it was a cord dress. Is it worth replying or just ignore it?

Does that mean Beenie's pram saga is over? Or will there be another installment?

    3, I'd take L to the funeral.

Enjoy the holiday and happy birthday Ladybird!

Good luck today and tomorrow EA :D Have you tried Lily's dress on her to make sure it fits?

    Enjoy the wedding GISI :)

More hugs for Mel, I hope you're feeling a bit better today and I wish I could do something to take the strain off a bit.

So we were on the tram on our way back from Gymboree, and the elderly lady sitting beside us was smiling and chatting to Molly. Miss Molly reached out gently and stroked her face, then when the lady smiled more and stroked her hand she reached up to the lady's hair and gave a bit of a tug.....

and her wig slipped down so it was fitting her like a military beret.

I swear I've ruptured something trying not to laugh.

Thanks WM:) I really wish it was as simple as giving him a kick up the bum (not that that would be simple either)..... Sorry you didn't get much sleep, K had a bit of a fidgety night a few nights back, I put it down to the heat!

3 - I just had to check out your piccies on FB of your new stokke, sorry but I still don't like them...Glad you like it though, did V seem happy/comfortable in it?

Happy holidays to those who are setting off today:)

Talking of eBay, I bought two pairs of trainers both BIN on Wednesday, paid for them both and then got an e-mail yesterday saying the white pair (for ds2) were now out of stock!!!! The black pair (for ds1) are more urgently required as ds2 has to wear orthotic boots + Insoles but now and then he just needs trainers for short use.....Still annoying though! He asked if I wanted to choose a different pair of have a refund, but he has no others in the size so that was pretty pointless, just need to check he has refunded me now!!!
Unless someone like you cares a whole awful lot,
Nothing is going to get better. It's not.

Tia I'd follow up and say "This is a smoke-free house, is your postman a smoker?" and then forget about it. People will see it for what it is.

I'm in fear of Isla doing this to me soon! I'm starting to seriously consider just wearing headscarves from now on and giving up on wigs completely for a while.

Tia - I'd just ignore them. They sound like eejits. I saw your wanting to make tutu's, I've got a dead easy cheat way of doing them if you want? It's literally just strips of net and you loop them onto a ribbon waistband. Is it for Ambertronic? The fairies may have some net available :)

Whispers very quietly: Is that not the second time someone has mentioned smokey smelling items?
eta: Not meaning that in a cheeky way but some people can smell even the tiniest hint of smoke

It was awful - the poor woman was so embarrassed and my default response is always to laugh when something is too much for me, but I didn't want her to think I was laughing at her IYSWIM because I wasn't, I was laughing - or not laughing but holding it in - at the whole horrible situation and the slipping wig and the nonplussed baby and ... oh gods, it was terrible.

My childless self would have suggested a shorter wig, but this one was only chin-length and still ended up in the grabbing fists of my miscreant baby.

If it happens, can you just laugh it off and put it on her head to make it all into a big joke? My mom wore wigs for her last 2 years or so (cancer) and if they ever 'came' off my dad would make big jokes about it to save her embarrassment (as she was fairly shy).

I think this is an excellent plan, although I wonder if that will turn it into a long lasting game?
