Sandpits: definitely a good investment! Had masses of play out of ours. James has played for hours in it since he was about 2, and Charlotte is addicted to it as well.

We got a nice wooden one similar to this:
    http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/partNumber/3650543/Trail/searchtext%3ESANDBOX.htm
The only down side is the plastic cover is a bit flimsy and water collects in a puddle on it when it rains. I solved that by cutting a couple of old bits of plywood to make a lid that goes on before the plastic cover. It's been outside all winter and the sand was damp, but not waterlogged. Just left it open for a couple of days to dry out and it's fine now.

Another twist to the ex and Facebook thing. James has been stewing on it all weekend as he's really upset that he wasn't told personally. Josh told him what had been posted and he logged on to see several people had seen it before they did. He messaged ex tonight and told him why he was upset and that it was wrong of him posting it before telling them. Ex said that his OH posted it on his account while he was at work. James pointed out he could have emailed, texted or rang him to tell him, but ex ignored that and sent a right drama queen message about deleting Facebook forever. James replied "whatever" and logged off!

Not sure if that will have helped matters, but looking back I think he needed to know from James how upset they are.
Here I go again on my own....

No problem - what time are you back from the school run? And what time do you need to be back for?

Edit - and do you have a car seat? Or will she fit in my maxicosi baby seat?
Brilliant :D Aimee leaves for about 9:45 and finishes for 3:20... Although if we were pushing it time wise I could probably ask my very good friend to collect her for me.

She still fits in her stage 0 graco so would fit in your maxicosi if it's a safer fit with the isothingie?

Have I told you I love you recently? :) :A

Becles - poor boys! Thats why I don't bother with Facebook.

My Dad said that my sister (who is currently pg) has posted the following on her FB wall
'Been having a long talk with Mum about when she was pregnant with me and the tough time she had, she's such a strong woman'
My Mum left my Dad whilst pregnant so she's referring to being on her own - I know she had it hard but why post that on FB when you know your Dad would see it? *shrugs* It happened 23years ago - its not going to change anything so why drag stuff up!

Just to add to my last post, we have sorted out the issues we had with the school/teacher and will let know the outcome to those who kindly had some input into the situation, when I have a little spare time (!!!) It's an outcome 12yo is happy with, so it's all good.

Catch you all again soon. Will try not to leave it as long in the future, but have been very busy!

Simple summary - Teacher resigned, deputy head warned over future conduct, year head demoted to teaching role only, but will PM anyone who helped and isn't involved in this thread.

12yo was the only important person here (in my eyes), so she has an outcome she's comfortable with.

    Anyway, must dash.

Hope everyone is well and will check in again soon.
