Sorry to bother you with more questions

The questions relate to this closed thread, about the possibility of me eventually being put onto JSA (throngs of ill people failing ESA medicals) - I have found some more optimistic information and would like someone to check that my findings are right?

http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=2409469&page=2

On the above thread, I was advised that my pension would wipe out any JSA that I recieved, however I came across the following on turn2us.org (bold bit relevant)

"How much contribution-based JSA you get depends on how old you are. If you are under 25, you get £51.85 a week. If you are 25 or over, you get £65.45. However, you may get less if you have income from part-time earnings or an occupational or personal pension scheme. Depending on your circumstances and your income and savings, you may qualify for some income-based JSA as well. For example, your contribution-based JSA will be cut pound for pound for any occupational or personal pension that is over £50 a week.
"

As I receive £100 per week, and JSA is £65.45 a week, (£34.55) over the JSA amount, does that mean, that rather than receive zero JSA, I would receive £15.45 a week JSA (£50 minus £34.55)

Thank you

I am not sure how pensions affect CB JSA, but will bump the thread before it drops off the first page.
    Gone ... or have I?

Yes my mistake if you were to be put on contribution based JSA (I am not sure if you would get CBJSA as you have not paid NI through employment for some years) you would receive some JSA for up to 6 months.

If it is income based JSA that you may in the future receive if you failed the WCA you would not receive payment but would have your NI paid if you signed on.

So, income based JSA rules are the same as cont based JSA, in that I would not receive a penny even though I would only have £400.00 a month income?

    thank you

With income based JSA your benefit would be reduced £1 for £1 and therefor with your level of income you would not receive JSA.

    Yes.

The first £50 is ignored then £1 in every £1 so you would get £15.45.

With ib-jsa all the £100 is taken into account
