Pls advise - worktop company fits undermount sink to quartz like this

Hi, the worktop fitter fitted the undermount sink using adhesive and silicone with broken pieces of granite to support 3 sides of the sink (the 4th side is only 1 or 2cm to the side panel of the unit!). The finishing looks horrendous. (want to attach photo but don't know how!)
They also got the worktop size wrong - I asked for standard size and they installed a breakfast bar. The upstand was fitted in a way that you can see the joints on both end as it is not fitted at an angle...I phoned to raise my concern. The owner said they have always fitted sinks using just silicone. They can cut the breakfast bar to standard size on site as it has already been fitted and polish on site. If I have so many problems, they can remove the worktop and refund. They can remove the worktop without damaging the kitchen unit.
Is using just silicone and broken granite the right way to fit the sink? Is the kitchen unit likely to get damaged if they remove the worktop? Please really appreciate some advice! - thanks in advance!!

when they say cut on site and polish, i hope they are going to take it outside and do it. it will be the ash cloud over again, make sure unless you are at the building site stage.
fitting the sink that way is a bit cheap and uncheerfull, there are clips and brackets and other ways of fitting it. ask them to put a lot more supports under, they are not ideal but if there are more points of adhesion it can only help.

Whatever they do, make sure that they understand you hold them liable for any damage at all to the rest of the kitchen.

If you are not happy with the finish dont pay them (presuming you haven't already). To post a picture - you need to have it hosted online - try the likes of imageshack - and then you can post a link. I'm sure its covered in the help:

Look up the sink manufacturer online - they may have fitting instructions on their website - Carron certainly do.

I'm surprised they didn't use the clips aswell, that usually come with the sink. You could ask them to fix them in addition to the adhesive. It's not a difficult request for them to comply with. Although Diapol did my granite worktop and sink attachment and I'm not happy with their standard of work. They had my credit card details and unfortunately the credit card company wouldn't withold payment for standard of service complaints. :( Good luck.
