hi guys new on here,
would like to ask anyone who is a painter and decorator what they would charge for the following, strip flaky paint off gable end, not to bad and only 18m2. seal gable with weatherseal plus another 28m2 total 46m2.
then apply 2 coats of magnolia masonry paint. i will supply the paint etc all i require is an idea on labour charges, got a quote yesterday and nearly choked. not going to disclose this quote yet, dont want to offend it might be in the correct ballpark, ps, render is pretty smooth easily painted. cheers all help appreciated.

Without seeing it...not knowing how high your gable end is, access, what I am painting on (rough cast etc) where you are and how bad the flaky paint is?

    A typical 3 bed semi £2500

Maybe a little less may be more, most decorators will charge between £125-150 per day. You may find handy men that will take this on a lot cheaper.

    Hope this helps

We've just paid £120 for a decorator this week. He's done our rendered walls - sanded & painted - 3 coats, some windows, garage & front door.

£600 very well spent :) House looks great; people have been stopping to tell us!Will look even better now I finally get to plant the front - I finally get the wysteria I've dreamed of!
