Simplyswitch Amazon vouchers

A note or warning for anyone switching utilities through Simplyswitch... I changed dual fuel supply to Scottish Power in February 2010. I was confirmed as a customer on 16th March, and requested my vouchers as per guidance. I have been emailed to say I have made my claim outside the 60 day limit !! The advice is at best ambiguous... it states that you need to be 'live' before submitting a claim... (I presumed this meant the date of confirmation) I have asked Moneyexpert to review this, but to anyone else - don't lose out

According to the terms of the offerVouchers must be claimed after your supply has gone live with your new supplier and within 60 days of your application date. If your supply is delayed from the normal 4 – 6 weeks you must inform us so you don’t miss out due to a delay in the supply going live
To me that means within 60 days of initial application to switch but after the switch has actually taken place.
If you applied to switch in February and claimed the vouchers in mid March just after the switch actually happened, how is that not within 60 days?
However if you've left it another five weeks until today to claim, I see that probably would be outside the claim window"Now to trolling as a concept. .... Personally, I've always found it a little sad that people choose to spend such a large proportion of their lives in this way but they do, and we have to deal with it." - MSE Forum Manager 6th July 20100 -
