Accept offer after MCONLINE

Options
Hi,

Is it possible to accept an offer from Barclays after I have submitted a claim online?

If the offer is still open, yes you can.

You can then close the claim online as settled out of court

    How old?
Why did you not accept it at the time?

Premier, we might be into the offer prior to the stays and that means that an offer acceptance is out of time.
I have not worked for NatWest Bank since February 2009

Indeed, or perhaps the bank has simply withdrawn any offer especially if they now have a summons.

Bumear, I suggest as you are in doubt, you contact the bank on a without prejudice basis to enquire whether the offer made earlier would still be available to you.
This is in line with your requirement to make reasonable efforts to resolve the matter amicably before any court hearing. :)

At the time I was holding out for the full amount, this was before the whole thing got put on hold. Was just flipping through some of my paper work and found the original offer letter. The whole thing is currently with my local court house now so I guess I cant accept. Was just a thought.

If the offer is still open, and provides an acceptable resolution to you, of course you can!

Even after filing a summons, you are still expected to make a reasonable effort to resolve any dispute to avoid a court hearing

Well I sent the offer letter back to Barclays. Long shot but you never know. I had sort of dismissed the whole thing anyway after the supreme court ruling.

Just got off the phone with a very polite lady from Barclays who tells me I have no chance of getting any offer from them and I will have to pursue the case through court. Ahh well

I assumed it was unlikely to be on the table since it would have been offered prior to the stays in 2007. You need to find out the details of the stay that you have with the courts.
