A couple of posts down this page it says:

I just had a call form this number on my mobile and googled it as they just hung up when i answered. I've got to say what a handy site. I did exactly what matthew said to do in 2007 and rang 01403 232 323 (hit option 4) to find out what the call was for. I've also been getting 3 - 4 calls a day for the past couple of months but they've always shown as private. The lady on the other end of the phone said this number is their marketing department and asked if i would like to be removed. Simple. Thanks Mat lol.

:mad::mad: EON contacted me on monday said the comp i had entered, i had made it into the finals, she said they would give me a quick quote and that would be that, was on phone for 5 mins may not sound like long but when u have someone droning on about prices and saying we are cheapest on and on and on then its forever, anyway just to get rid of her and get her off my phone i told her just to send me out quote and i would go over it with hubby. this morning i received wat i thought was a quote until i looked further they have signed me up :eek: i didnt ask to be switched from sp to eon blooming cheek. had some really bad news today so its been very hectic in here i will have to phone them tomoro to cancel and find out wat the heck they playing wasting more of my time.:mad:

rant over now think am gonna stay away from them comps from now on. :rotfl:

Three calls today. 2 gave up quickly but the third woman went on and on seemingly forever. I always feel sorry for them having to do this as a job though patience wears thin when it's meal time.

I got called today telling me I was into the final stage for the competition which was being drawn on friday. Normally I fob them off but listened to the lady, and said I'd consider them when I moved which was happening imminently!!

EON have no clue of what customer services is!!! I had one of these calls a year ago, it was a questionnaire and I made it my business to tell her what I thought of them..it was fun lol :rotfl:you don't get to take out bottled-up :mad::mad::mad: much :rotfl::j

I just say my landlord pays my bills on my behalf and I am not able to change supplier, they dont bother carrying on and entered me into the draw anyway

i've had a couple of calls and just say i'm not interested and i've got the best price and they went away. dull though.

finally had a call the othe rday too, what a noisy call center they work in. i let her carry on and run her comparisons then refused to sign up over the phone just cause they called me. took a few firm renditions of no thank you but she went away.

how many hundreds of us have made it through to the next stage then? and i dont remember any of the 1000quid comps saying it was in stages?

4th call from EON/Scotttish Power today - just told them they'd already phoned me enough times and I didn't care enough about the competition to keep having all these calls! Still put me through though but if they call one more time i will SCREAM down the phone at them!!! :mad:

I've had six calls from various energy companies after entering the competitions. On each comp I stated I didn't pay the bill but they still phone. Scottish power just called again and I told her the same thing, she then asked to speak to the person who does pay the bill! :mad:
I told her as the bill payer didn't enter the competition I'm not giving them his details. She was so pushy! They are really starting to bug me now :mad:
