reviving an orchid without any leaves

Does it have any air roots? It may take a while (i.e. up to a year) to recover.... I would stand it on a gravel-filled saucer, put it onto a light windowsill, water every 10 days or so to keep the air around it humid and keep checking it for new growth. You could also treat it with some orchid food (although I use about half the suggested dose of Baby Bio on mine;))0

Thank you Floss2 for your advice, the orchid has no air roots but I can see through the pot and it has green roots in the orchid compost, if it does recover do you know if it will get a flower spike or leaves first? I shall follow your advice, thank you again.0
