As there appears some doubts over the accuracy of this advice my some, I thought it would be worthwhile to post a link to the relevent MSE news item
Why? what makes you think Martin knows about unenforceability? LOL..... :rotfl:There was also a later news item:

Ooooh, so there was! Must be true then yea?;);)
Read my signature or my thread for facts - the above is the basic version, not the actual facts and certainly not accurate! I already commented to site admin when they released this junk! :eek:2010 - year of the troll

I recieved today a reply from Orange regarding the F&F settlement letter I sent them. They did not mention negotiation at all. One paragraph that could be useful though, states that "the account has been passed back from a debt agency and is now written off. If a debt is 'written off', this simply demonstrates that Orange has re-classified the debt on the account as an uncollectible loss."
Should I send another F&F settlement letter to them. They did state on the phone, before I had even begun thinking about making them an offer, that they would not be pursuing the debt any way. Surley it is in their best interest aswell as mine to come to an agreement?0 -
Hiya
No, it means that they do not want any money - keep this letter - it is proof that they do not want anything from you.
That is it, job done and dusted. Orange have closed your account as a debt write off.
Make sense? Basically you forget about them now.2010 - year of the troll
