Protection with Direct Online Bank Transfer

Hi Everyone
Hope I have posted in the right place.
Would anyone happen to know the rules surrounding protecting your money, if you have sent money by direct bank transfer, but not received the goods? Also is there a deadline for an application to be made?
Chatted with my bank briefly they said they can chase the money but it wont be easy as there is not the protection of visa.

As above....just like giving them cash. So don't expect any help from bank. You will have to chase them up yourself.0

They have done what you asked.
The reason why you transferred the money no business of the bank.
