Barclaycard Flexi-rate

Whats the deal with this card? I don't hear anyone talk about it and it doesn't appear on best buy tables for life of balance cards.

Info available on barclaycards website 16.9% standard rate and 4.95% on balance transfers until repaid. Purchaces at standard rate.

It's there mid range card so should be easy to get.

Is there a life of the balance card better?

  • I hope its alright, I just applied for one!! IF also have a 4.95% LOB card, but they have particularly stringent credit check requirements, so I thought it best to have a go with Barclays first! Martin mentioned it in the money tip this week and I think its now mentioned in his article on balance transfer cards, so see there for more information.

Which card was that on mate? I've got barclaycard platinum £4,700 limit 9.9%forever. I know on balace trancefers I could get 6.9% as it is being advertised. But I am going to go for barclays and ask them for 4.95% on balance tranefers. That or 0% for 12 months. I also want a £6000 limit.

So not much on my shopping list then.

Don't blame you it looks good. The limits will probably be OK as it says 4.95% on first £5000 and 6.9% on anything over that. Suggests limits might breach £5000 in some individual cases.
