Redundancy budgeting

I have recently been made redundant and I will be receiving about £8,000. I have a poor credit rating and have used Martin's budget planner previously to see what improvements I can make, which has made a difference. However, this was based on my salary and I am very worried that I will run into difficulties as I have got quite a few debts to pay off. I have been looking for another job. I thought of putting some money into an ISA and I can work at home doing typing in the meantime. Any ideas?

I would suggest you repost this on the debt free wannabe board and look at the other boards to stretch the money you do have
